Coca-Cola İçecek Opens Second Plant in Kazakhstan

Coca-Cola İçecek opened a new plant in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan. In his speech at the opening ceremony, Anadolu Group and Coca-Cola İçecek Chairman Tuncay Özilhan stated that they have invested USD 250 million within the past 10 years in Kazakhstan and said: “In spite of the macroeconomic fluctuations and devaluations, we believe in the growth potential of all of our markets in Central Asia.”

Coca-Cola İçecek’s net sales revenue grew by 8% to reach TL 1.3 billion in the first quarter of 2016, driven by its Turkey operations. Meanwhile net profits reached TL 29 million vs TL 91 million of loss incurred in the same period last year.

In 2015 Coca-Cola İçecek increased its sales volume to 1.15 billion unit cases. Net sales revenue grew by 12% to reach TL 6.7 billion, meanwhile EBITDA increased by 9% to reach TL 1 billion.
