CCI has a total of 22 plants in 10 countries and offers a wide range of beverages to a consumer base of more than 360 million people. Coca-Cola İçecek Among Europe’s Leaders in Quality and Sustainability
In October 2012, Coca-Cola İçecek Ankara plant was awarded the “Taking Responsibility for a Sustainable Future” prize by the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) for its superior performance in the implementation of the EFQM Excellence Model. Having been the first plant among more than 1000 plants in over 200 countries within the Coca-Cola system to have implemented the EFQM Excellence Model, CCI Ankara plant had also received the national “Quality Grand Prize” from the Turkish Quality Association (KalDer), the Turkey representative of EFQM, in 2011.
Competency in Excellence Certificate From KalDer to CCI Headquarters
KalDer had been contacted under the supervision of Human Resources Quality Department in 2009 and CCI Turkey had initiated the EFQM process with the participation of all functions and support from the top management. KalDer initiated the external evaluation process in order to determine CCI’s place on the Road to Quality within the scope of EFQM standards. CCI Turkey was assessed in the national category and was deemed worthy of the level of 5 stars in “Competency in Excellence” as a result of the evaluation carried out according to EFQM standards.

We share our product responsibility and quality awareness with our supply chain and make sure that all our suppliers adopt and apply these principles. We develop and organize our product portfolio in accordance with our customers’ changing expectations and provide information about our products in order to help them make more conscious choices.
As part of the Coca-Cola System we submit to The Coca-Cola Company’s commitments to contribute to healthier, happier, and more active communities. In so doing, we commit to:
1. Offering low-or no-calorie beverage options in every market;
2. Providing transparent nutrition information, featuring calories on the front of all of our packages;
3. Helping get people moving by supporting physical activity programs in every country where we do business;
4. Marketing responsibly, including no advertising to children under 12 anywhere in the world.
Quality Management System
Maintaining the safety and quality of our products is one of the main responsibilities of CCI. While managing supply, production, bottling, distribution, and other processes, we apply the universal values and system of TCCC and we take the most suitable actions, while also taking into account the regional characteristics of our operational geography. In this respect, in 2010, we started to use the “Coca-Cola Operating Requirements System” (KORE), a management system designed by the Coca-Cola Company, in our processes.
In parallel with KORE, CCI acts and audits production processes according to the requirements of Management Systems with ISO 22000 to secure food safety, ISO 9001 to respect quality requirements, ISO 14001 to minimize environmental impact, and ISO 18001 to ensure occupational health and safety in production facilities. We integrated the Operational Excellence (OE) model, launched in 2007, with quality management systems, followed up, and began to apply it in all of our operations.
As CCI, in all of our implementations, we base on Management Systems Policy. In this framework, we guarantee that we will meet all the standards determined by Coca-Cola Company and make efforts to exceed these standards and stakeholder expectations as well as acting in compliance with all kinds of legal requirements and the management systems regarding quality, occupational health and safety, environment, food safety and energy.
