Water Replenishment Projects
Lahore Water Replenishment Project
In the project implemented in partnership with the Coca-Cola Foundation, CCI Pakistan, and WWF (World Wildlife Fund), we replenish water in Lahore through rainwater harvesting, the installation of recharge wells, the construction of floating treatment wetlands, on-farm management, tree planting, and land cover management.
The PAANI Project
Pakistan is one of the highest water risk regions with water scarcity and water contamination. Foreseeing this challenge CCI Pakistan initiated PAANI project in 2013. Since then, CCI Pakistan has installed 5 new water filtration plants, each operating at a capacity of 2,000 liters per hour, to improve the population's access to safe drinking water. In addition, 11 old water filtration plants have been renovated with the support of local communities to extend the life of the plants. Currently, 35 filtration plants provide clean water to 1.1 million people and have supported in 10-15% reduction in water borne diseases among the communities.
Waste Collection Projects
r-PET Bottles
In line with CCI’s 2030 Sustainability Commitments, CCI Pakistan has started to produce 100% recycled plastic bottles. Initially launched in Sindh, where 2.25-liter Coca-Cola bottles will be made using food-grade recycled plastic (rPET), the initiative has been rolled out nationwide. Working closely with Pakistani provincial food authorities, CCI Pakistan has incorporated a cycle through which used plastic bottles are collected for subjecting into a unit operation. This process ensures cleaning, washing and breaking them into small pallets. Thus, converting it to Food Grade packaging for Coca-Cola Pakistan.

World Environment Day 2024
Marking the World Environment Day, in Pakistan internal awareness sessions were conducted at various cities by the Quality Assurance managers. The sessions focused on reiterating CCI's 2030 Sustainability Pledge and emphasizing its importance.
World Environment Day 2023
As part of World Environment Day celebrations, CCI Pakistan hosted various activities such as nature walks, awareness sessions, tree planting, and cleanup drives were carried out in collaboration with the local environmental agency. In partnership with WWF, CCI Pakistan, planted a total of 70,000 saplings in its operating regions.
Clean & Green Drive
CCI Pakistan launched its’s annual Clean & Green Drive in 2019 and since then more than 200,000 tree saplings have been planted across Pakistan. For 2023 Clean and Green Drive, CCI Pakistan has partnered with WWF to plant 70,000 trees across its territories including Haripur, Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Multan, Rahim Yar Khan & Karachi. The selected local indigenous species ensure a positive impact on the environment.
Donations
Donation Campaign for Ramadan 2023
Every year during the month of Ramadan, CCI Pakistan organizes a donation campaign for its employees to encourage volunteering. As a result of this year's donation campaign, 400,000 meals were distributed. Furthermore, CCI Pakistan volunteers collaborated with the Rizq Foundation to organize an iftar meal in Lahore.
Flood Relief Program
Pakistan was struck by catastrophic floods in 2022. CCI Pakistan, on request of National Disaster Management Authority, provided immediate relief for the distressed and workers of rescue operation by providing 140,000 liters of Dasani Water. In second phase, CCI Pakistan provided rehabilitation support for the affected communities in remote cities of Sindh. Whereby, over 10,500 families who were affected by the flood, benefited from ration boxes, shelter tents, blankets and access to a mobile health clinic that offered free medical screening and medicines. Moreover, volunteers from CCI Pakistan travelled to Badin, Sindh to show solidarity with the flood victims.
Donation Campaign for Ramadan 2022
Every year during the month of Ramadan, CCI Pakistan organizes a donation campaign for its employees to encourage volunteering. As a result of this year's donation campaign, 2,000 meals were provided to orphans in Lahore and Islamabad. Moreover, CCI Pakistan made contributions worth over PKR 1 million to the farmers in the flood affected area.
