Coca-Cola İçecek Showered with Awards from Investors
29.09.2023In the “Emerging Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) - Executive Team Research 2023” conducted by Institutional Investor, Coca-Cola İçecek CEO Burak Başarır won the “Best CEO” award for the third time while Çiçek Uşaklıgil Özgüneş received the “Best Investor Relations Professional” award in the Consumer Sector. Coca-Cola İçecek, which was acknowledged for its effective communication and transparency with investors, also won the “Best Investor Relations Program”, “Best Investor Relations Team”, “Best Analyst/Investor Event” and “Best ESG Program” awards.
Coca-Cola İçecek (CCI) received top accolades in the 2023 Executive Team ranking in the research conducted by Institutional Investor. Burak Başarır, who served as the CEO of Coca-Cola İçecek between 2014-2023 and assumed the role of Deputy CEO at Anadolu Group as of September 1, 2023 received the “Best CEO” award. The award was given in the Consumer Sector in the “Small and Medium-Sized Companies” category and this marked Burak Başarır’s recognition in this category for the third consecutive year by the Institutional Investor.
Çiçek Uşaklıgil Özgüneş, Head of Treasury and Investor Relations at Coca-Cola İçecek, has been recognized as the Best Investor Relations Professional of 2023 in the same category. CCI also won the Best Investor Relations Program, Best Investor Relations Team, Best Analyst/Investor Event and Best ESG Program awards. These awards reinforced CCI's leading position in the industry in investor relations and management excellence.
The survey was conducted on 281 companies and 503 individuals across 11 industries by II Research, a leading provider of performance validation and market sentiment in global capital markets. This prestigious rank is considered to be a reflection of CCI's commitment to communicating effectively with investors and providing transparent information about the company.
Significant increase in the number of survey participants
The announcement made on September 12, 2023 in London noted that according to the results of the survey conducted by II Research, CCI has been recognized for its successful investor relations in the industry as well as its management excellence and received the top ranking in all five voting categories.
This year's survey involved 2,733 CEOs, CFOs and IROs from 1,266 nominated companies, with a total of 1,872 votes from 851 companies. The number of votes increased by 20% for Developed Europe and 46% for Emerging EMEA. In the survey, a total of 281 companies and 503 individuals were nominated across 11 sectors.
