
President of the Republic of Kazakhstan visits CCI's new plant in Shymkent
22.04.2025Shymkent, April 8, 2025: During his visit to Kazakhstan’s southern capital, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited the newly inaugurated Coca-Cola İçecek (CCI) production facility in Shymkent plant, Kazakhstan. This state-of-the-art production facility represents a major milestone in the region's industrial development, further strengthening the country's position in the non-alcoholic beverage market.
The plant was established to expand production capacity and enhance logistics infrastructure to meet the growing demand for CCI’s products in Kazakhstan. Equipped with cutting- edge technologies, innovative production solutions, and advanced automation, the plant plays a key role in elevating product quality and reinforcing environmental sustainability.
With a total investment of approximately 27 billion tenge, the plant spans over an area of 16 hectares with two production lines and will increase CCI Kazakhstan’s annual production capacity by approximately 32 percent. It is located in the vicinity of the industrial zone, "Trade and logistic center".
Key Features of the New Plant:
• The plant will have a production capacity of 52-million-unit cases of beverage per year, significantly increasing the volume of products available in the Kazakh market.
• The implementation of environmentally friendly technologies and a waste management system that meets international standards, contributing to the region's sustainable development.
• The creation of over 150 new jobs for local residents, contributing to the region's economic growth and reducing unemployment.
During his visit, President Tokayev was given an in-depth tour of the Shymkent plant, gaining insight into the seamless processes that ensure the high quality of Coca-Cola products. He emphasized that the development of large enterprises like this plays a crucial role in diversifying Kazakhstan’s economy and strengthening its industrial potential.
It is worth noting that since 2013, tax contributions from CCI to the state budget of Kazakhstan have exceeded 259 billion tenge. The total volume of the company's investments in the country's economy has surpassed 106 billion tenge (500 million USD).
